A new rock musical about Wendy Darling from Peter Pan, one of the world's most famous, yet least examined characters - after she grows up. Magical, timely, and timeless, it features an original soundtrack that sparkles with wit and pop hooks while playfully exploring the impact of storytelling and storytellers. Join Wendy as she navigates Hollywood and motherhood and find out if grown ups can fly.
Wendy, My Darling features solo theatre artist April Wish, with live music by Tammy Glover, featuring special video appearances by Busy Philipps (Freaks and Geeks) and Jon Cryer (Two and a Half Men).

 

APRIL WISH

April Wish, after producing and acting in nearly a hundred independent features and short films, spearheaded the first live, interactive horror film, Kill Cam, as producer, writer and lead actress, inspiriing her to return to her roots in theater after pausing to raise two children. In 2019, she mounted “My Name is Mommy” to sold-out houses in Los Angeles before heading out on a national tour. The play garnered a Producer’s Encore Award at The Hollywood Fringe Festival, and was extended to a full run at The Whitefire Theater in Los Angeles. The show was selected to be featured in the Los Angeles Women’s Theater Festival and New York’s UNITED Solo Festival. in August 2020, April presented her second solo show, written entirely during the pandemic, winning The Los Angeles Moth Virtual Story SLAM. She’s currently developing a handful of solo theater pieces and is most excited to be sharing this story with her daughter, Clementine, as she begins to Grow Up.

TAMMY GLOVER

Tammy Glover is a musician and television producer who started her professional career in a house band at MTV. She toured the world with Sparks, as the drummer for brothers Ron and Russell Mael, and appears in Edgar Wright’s celebrated documentary about the band, The Sparks Brothers. She’s also one half of the indie rock band Thorcraft Cobra, she’s currently the Head of Production for TNT, TBS and TruTV, part of Warner Bros Discovery, where her slate includes Snowpiercer with Jennifer Connelly and Daveed Diggs, and Miracle Workers with Daniel Radcliffe. Prior to that, she was the VP of Production at Comedy Central where she guided hits such as Inside Amy Schumer, Key & Peele, Tosh.0, The Daily Show, and South Park. Tammy is a leader in organizations such as The Television Academy, where she served as a Governor for Production Executives.

KRYSIA PLONKA

Krysia Plonka is a three-time Emmy winner and four-time nominee. She was executive producer and director of the Netflix comedy special, SWEET & SALTY, nominated for a Critics’ Choice Award. Krysia executive produced two seasons of Ryan Hansen Solves Crimes on Television, featuring Jon Cryer, Jane Lynch, Kristen Bell, Donald Faison, Joel McHale, Stephen Merchant, Dax Shepard, Ben Schwartz, Tom Lennon and was named “one of the best shows on television” by TV Guide. Currently on HBO MAX, Krysia directed on and executive produced three seasons of Those Who Can’t, featuring Patton Oswalt, Susie Essman, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Cheri O’Teri, and Aisha Taylor. She is is also responsible for Taraji P. Henson’s annual holiday FOX special, featuring talent such as LL Cool J, DJ Khaled, Niecy Nash, Adam Devine and Jillian Bell. As a showrunner, Krysia launched Billy on the Street with Billy Eichner, the Jeselnik Offensive, Weekends at the DL with DL Hughley, John Leguizamo’s Freak, and The Wayne Brady Show (ABC).She also served as field producer on the iconic Chris Rock Show for HBO.
