How the Grinch Reversed Racism
by Christmas Eve Dinner

Tom thinks the Grinch is Chinese like them. Adam barely knows who that is. Together they’ll rip him open to investigate capitalism, ecoterrorism, and maybe a bit of casual xenophobia. Be prepared for the Asian Grinch, a trash rocket, and a show that will leave you wondering: "Are they okay?"

Trish Cole

Trish Cole is a tomboy poet playwright whose work explores the intersect of social construct, gender, identity, resistance, and resiliency. Her stage plays have been produced in New York, Chicago, Seattle, San Francisco, Asheville, and regionally in Maryland. Trish is a Samuel French finalist, a Bakeless Literary Prize finalist, and is the recipient of numerous script awards, including two Maryland Community Theatre Festival Excellence in Original Script awards. Trish lives in Southern Maryland where she works as a public high-school librarian.

Christmas Eve Dinner

Christmas Eve Dinner was created in 2021 by Tom Zhang and Adam Friedman. Collaborators since college, Tom and Adam reunited for the Atlanta Fringe Festival with their piece "How the Grinch Reversed Racism." We emphasize using performance and humor as a way to explore identity and environmentalism in the United States.
