Melissa Wilhoit

is a passionate explorer of time, space, and musicality, with a deep curiosity for the ways movement communicates ideas and preserves personal and generational memories. Throughout her career, she has performed and choreographed for dance companies in Washington, D.C. and New York City, and currently dances with Asheville Contemporary Dance Theatre. Melissa’s solo 'Breathe’ was featured in the 2021 Toronto International Dance Festival. and her work has been presented in Asheville Fringe for the past three years. Melissa's ongoing commitment to creating and presenting work is driven by her passion to inspire and provoke thought through dance.
