Merlin, the wise wiseass wisecracking wizard, has been visiting kids aged 1-17 in the Pediatrics Department at Mission Hospital since summer 2022. This piece is based directly on the magical interactions that have taken place in their hospital rooms.

Merlin Speaks

Merlin is the archetypal wizard, who has been re-imagined in a huge variety of contexts and forms for well over 1000 years. Mountaine has been working with the Merlin energy since 2012, writing and producing the hour-long play "Merlin's Effect" (a queer variant on Arthurian legend), and creating over 40 short videos on youtube.
