For at the First Glance by Justin William Evans

For at the First Glance is a poetic celebration of creation, based on an incomplete poem by Christopher Smart, written during his involuntary confinement in St. Luke's Hospital in the 18th century. The performance features a durational reading of an edited and expanded version of the original text, partially generative and improvised, along with audience participation through recitation and drawing on a temporary wall.
